The Solterra is Subaru’s first EV, and it lands on sale with extensive technology and comfort features. One of the most extensive functions in the new EV is Subaru Solterra Connect, which brings a range of connected services, vehicle diagnostics information, and much more.
What does Solterra Connect include?
The Solterra Connect package includes free and subscription-based services that give owners the ability to interact with their vehicles remotely in several ways. Navigation functions gain cloud connectivity, which updates traffic information, turn-by-turn guidance, and other functions in real-time. The package also activates the Solterra’s onboard Wi-Fi hotspot.
Those services are just the beginning. Subaru offers several safety-related features with Solterra Connect, including a stolen vehicle locator and enhanced roadside assistance. Owners also get automatic collision notifications and can reach out to emergency services using the included assistance features. The Solterra comes with a trial for Service Connect, which has maintenance notifications and vehicle health reports, and the Wi-Fi hotspot features are available by subscription.

Subaru also includes several remote convenience features that make owning a Solterra much easier. Solterra Connect is available with an $8 monthly subscription to Remote Connect services, which bring remote start, lock and unlock, parking location, vehicle status, and climate settings functionality. It also lets owners manage the EV’s state of charge and can help locate a charging station when it’s time to top up. The Limited and Touring trims are also available with a digital key feature.
While these features are impressive, they’re part of the larger ecosystem that Subaru considers part of the Solterra Connect package. The automaker also includes the infotainment system, its mobile app, and other connected functions as part of the group.
