Front Detail of the New Subaru WRX TR The 2024 WRX TR was revealed at the Florida Subiefest at the Daytona International Speedway on October 7th. Making a Good Braking System Better

The WRX TR features a high-performance Brembo braking system with red 6-piston front calipers up front and similarly-colored 2-piston calipers for the rear.  Everything about the brakes is larger, including pads, rotors, and the master brake cylinder. The new system provides greater stopping power, reduced fade resistance, and a more precise pedal feel.

Comprehensive Suspension Modification

While the brakes help the WRX TR slow down, an enhanced suspension system keeps it going. It features stiffer springs accompanied by revised damping rates to improve body control even as ride quality is maintained. The steering rack has also been retuned to fit the revised suspension. Wrapped around new 19-inch alloy wheels are 245/35 R19 Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires for increased wet and dry grip and improved braking performance

EyeSight Meets Three Pedals

Up until now, Subaru’s acclaimed EyeSight Driver Assist Technology has not been compatible with a manual transmission. That changes with the WRX TR, which means it now has Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking System, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, and Lead Vehicle Start Alert alongside its 6-speed manual transmission.

Recaro Seats Keep You In Your Place

Inside, the range-topping WRX TR has standard Recaro seats providing the highest level of support for the driver and front passenger. The Recaro’s Y-shaped design at the center of the backrest ensures the sides and shoulder blades of the occupant are securely supported to maintain proper driving posture. The seat’s surface is a plush yet grippy black and gray Ultrasuede® with contrasting red stitching. Proud of these seats, Recaro’s logo is embossed on the seatbacks.  The driver’s seat includes an 8-way power adjustment. The WRX TR will also have the latest version of the Subaru STARLINK system with the 11.6 multi-media touchscreen. As with other Subarus with this system, wireless compatibility for both Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM is standard, as is a 4-month trial period for both Sirius XM® and SiriusXM Travel Link®, which gives you up-to-date information on weather, fuel location & prices, and other helpful travel information.  Side View 2024 Subaru WRX TR One feature not found on the WRX is a power moonroof. Nixing this weighty feature at the top of the car saves weight, lowers the center of gravity, and provides room for a helmeted driver.  Subaru also saw little need to change the 2.4-liter turbocharged Subaru BOXER® engine, which produces 271 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and has a broad torque curve with 258 lb-ft of torque from 2,000-5,200 rpm. Active Torque Vectoring is also standard across the model line. Pricing for the WRX TR will be announced later this year and can be expected to arrive at Centennial Subaru in early Spring of 2024.
