The Subaru Ascent is one of the youngest vehicles on the lineup – excepting, of course, the brand-new Subaru Solterra that was just released this year – yet even still, Subaru has refreshed the Ascent for the 2023 model year. The automaker has updated the vehicle’s multimedia system, upgraded its safety features and introduced new design cues to enhance its style. New Styling

The automaker wanted to give the Ascent a bolder look, so that’s exactly what they did for 2023. A new front fascia has been introduced this year, with a much larger grilled, newly designed LED headlights and a more aggressive cover for the front bumper. That cover includes air ducts newly positioned in the lower edge to improve airflow in addition to aesthetic aggression.

Enhanced Safety

Naturally, the 2023 Ascent comes equipped with the newest version of Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. The latest iteration features a wider field of view, updates to its controls software and a new electric brake booster, all of which comes together to make the system work more smoothly together. EyeSight also features a new technology on models equipped with Blind-Spot Detection. It’s called Automatic Emergency Steering and works alongside the Pre-Collision Braking System.

Updated Multimedia

Finally, the 2023 Subaru Ascent comes standard with a new 11.6” tablet-style display audio screen. The new multimedia system features Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto in addition to other technologies. It also comes with a new feature called Cabin Connect, which enables communication from the driver to be directly relayed to rear-seat passengers via the sound system thanks to a microphone built into the overhead console.
