Subaru Education Program Wins Gold Halo Award

2023 Halo Awards Best Education Initiative Gold Winner - Subaru Loves Learning & AdoptAClassroom.org Subaru models are frequent award winners, but this time the award goes not to a product but a program. Subaru has earned the 2023 Gold Halo award for the Best Education Initiative. The award was presented by Engage for Good, which is dedicated to encouraging businesses to get involved with social causes. They then acknowledge companies whose programs can be considered to have effective positive social impact. The Gold Halo award goes to Subaru for its partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org which is part of the Subaru Loves Learning® initiative. The initiative is one of five branches in the Subaru Love Promise of diverse social causes. "At Subaru, we believe that education is the key to unlocking a better future for all. Subaru Loves Learning & AdoptAClassroom.orgAdoptAClassroom.org is a national nonprofit that helps fund Pre-K through High School teachers and schools across the U.S. with classroom materials and resources. In its research, AdoptAClassroom.org found that teachers spend an average of $860 of their own money each year to supply their classrooms with needed supplies their school districts don’t provide. Subaru and dealerships like Centennial Subaru helped alleviate this financial burden on teachers, with $3.3 million donated to 652 schools and 5,699 teachers across the U.S. "The partnership between Subaru and AdoptAClassroom.org has had a tremendous impact on teachers and students nationwide," said Ann Pifer, Executive Director of AdoptAClassroom.org. "Thanks to the generous support from Subaru and its retailers, more than 300,000 teachers have had the opportunity to provide students with crucial resources while feeling the love, appreciation, and support they deserve as learning professionals."   Subaru Love Promise Logo and Branches This isn’t the only time Subaru and its retailers have been recognized for the efforts stemming from the Subaru Love Promise. The manufacturer has also been credited by Forbes Magazine as among the top brands listed on their list of Best Brands for Social Impact for 2023.
