The award-winning Subaru Ascent is one of the best 3-row, 7 or 8-passenger SUVs on the market currently, and people are loving it. With the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarding it their coveted Top Safety Pick+ in 2023, and J.D. Power and Associates giving it an 82 out of 100 in their data collection, it’s safe to say that the Ascent is a great SUV to buy. From 2018-2023 the Ascent has been a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS, and a 5-star overall rating by NHTSA, as well as being the lowest 5-year cost to own in its segment by Kelley Blue Book for the past three years. For 2024 the Subaru Ascent will have a base MSRP of just $34,195, the Ascent Premium trim is priced from $36,795, the Onyx Edition from $41,595, the Limited trim from $41,895, the Onyx Edition Limited from $46,595, and the Touring trim from $48,495. All prices are not including destination and handling fees. Powered by a 2.4-liter Turbocharged Boxer Inline-4 that produces 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, all Ascent models can tow up to 5,000 lbs, the most of any Subaru ever. The Ascent comes standard with the latest version of Subaru’s award-winning EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. An addition made to the 2024 model is a wide-angle mono camera that works in conjunction with the other EyeSight cameras in providing enhanced system usability.
Standard technology on all trim levels is wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto with an 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display. Optional is the 14-speaker, 792-watt Harman Kardon® QuantumLogic™ surround sound system, as well as the Cabin Connect feature, which amplifies the sound of the driver’s voice to 3rd-row passengers. With standard Steering Responsive LED headlights, you will be able to see better as the vehicle is turning since the headlights move with the steering wheel. Like all Subaru vehicles, minus the BRZ sports coupe, the Ascent comes standard with the world-class Subaru Symmetrical All-wheel drive system and X-MODE®, featuring Hill Descent Control that is exceptional in all weather conditions.
