The Solterra can seat up to 5 passengers comfortably. With the optional moonroof, the front occupants will have 38.6 inches of headroom, 42.1 inches of legroom, 54.4 inches of hip room, and 57.8 inches of shoulder room. The Subaru EV SUV has two 80 kW motors that produce 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque. 

How Long Does It Take to Charge the 2023 Subaru Solterra?

There are 3 types of charging standards currently on the market, Level 1, Level 2, and DC Fast Charging. 

  • Level 1 charging is basically plugging your car into a standard wall outlet in your garage or outside your home. By doing that, you are looking at a charge time of between 50 and 77 hours to charge your Solterra to 100%, depending on whether it’s charging at 8 or 12 amps. 
    • A Level 2 charger that you can purchase and easily have put in your home is a 240V charge at 32 amps. To fully charge this should take about 9 hours. You can also find Level 2 chargers in some downtown city areas, parking garages, universities, and public parks or facilities. Some local businesses are starting to put a couple of Level 2 chargers up front in their parking lot for EV customers. 
    • DC fast charging is mostly the different types of chargers you’ll see at shopping malls, along highways, etc. To charge to 80 percent, you are looking at around 56 minutes.
