With rising fuel costs, trucks and SUVs aren’t as popular as more minor, more fuel-efficient vehicles. Among the best-in-class and affordable mid-size SUVs is the Subaru Crosstrek. For next year, the Crosstrek will showcase a new Special Edition trim.

New Special Edition

The Crosstrek offers standard all-wheel drive on all trims; and is the only Subaru model with a hybrid powertrain. Subaru’s larger SUVs have their off-road “Wilderness” treatment, while the Crosstrek will sport a new Special Edition that is mostly cosmetic. The Special Edition includes the features noted with Premium trim but offers the distinctive Desert Khaki paint option and dark gray 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Subaru is tying it together with a flat-black for smaller trim items, such as rearview mirrors, handles, and grills. Moving to the interior, the all-new Special Edition will showcase an upgraded instrument console and stunning red and black upholstery with contrast stitching, complete with a matching leather-wrapped steering wheel.
